What I've Learned:
In this class I've learned there is more to literature then just writing papers. I've seen through the various aspects of different poets and authors around the world, the views they have on religion and other various reasons. Through the Greeks such as Sappho, whom I researched. I saw multiple things I never knew about how big of a role she played in society, but realized they removed her from being a requirement in schools. This class goes to show education is essential in life and how important it means to us. World literature maybe just another academic requirement, but it definitely showed me that reading, blogging, commenting, and sharing information with peers, helps our mind relax.

What I Learned This Semester Part Two:
Another thing I learned this semester that taught me a lot was the importance of time management. I learned through reading assignments, blog post, comments, and projects. Using your time unwisely is costly. I took along time preparing and using my time when it came to creating my groups creation story and Wikipedia article, which in result presented me with fairly good grades. Now I did take time preparing Doc3 but ultimately it seems like it wasn't enough as well as grammatical errors cost me big time. So lesson learnt, no matter what you do school always comes first.

What I learned this semester Part one:
This semester was different then most, but through all the hard work and group projects I learned Professor Hamon made the class very interactive with each other. In past classes there would be times when I didn't even have a single conversation with numerous classmates. This class engaged everyone to get together and think. From the creation story, Wikipedia article, and Doc3. Everybody learned something new and together as a whole it felt like one big family till the end. I will definitely miss the fun times we all had together!

How Doc3 Took it's Toll:
For most students Doc3 definitely effected many of us for Dante it affected him through research as he states, "What's really slowed me down in this project is the subject I chose to research and write a paper about. Metamorphoses was a pain in the butt to do a project on. Since it has religious elements, I have to be careful on what I cite due to different results when I research". For others such as Mrs. Owings she struggled with her outside life as she says "The other thing that hindered my progress was life! I am a busy mom of three children. Between my schooling, my kids' after school activities, cooking dinner, cleaning house, doing laundry, and spending quality time with my family, I found that I would, on occasion, put writing my Doc 3 essay on the back burner". An for people such as Matthew having a job affected him in a way making it hard to work on outside of class, "My main disruption, when creating my document, is work. The job I work at occupies a lot of my time because I typically work doubles, not that I choose to but my manager chooses to schedule me as a double. So, by the time I get home, I'd choose not to stay up even more just to work on my assignment". Needless to say we all have our differences when it came to working on doc3.

Keeping Doc3 on Task:
Most students tend to do what we all know as procrastinating. I'm the complete opposite and always will be. I used the template and the rubric very closely. I've learned through psychology about the sensor in your brain for checking off a check list, which is mainly why I do my homework way before the due date, because it releases tons of stress. I enjoyed learning about my Wikipedia article strictly because, when I originally read about Sappho I was confused about what was going on in her literary work. One of my struggles was staying focused of course a 1,500 word paper takes time and I knew that there would be distractions along the way. So for future reference work in bits and pieces.

Peer Review:
Through the colleagues literary work this week I learned two things. Firstly, I learned Mrs. Cosner still hasn't worked on her Doc3 unless she has it on another document, and just has to transfer the information. But secondly in Mr. Dent's Doc 3 I learned about some of the traits and characteristics of being a epic hero. Through his paper he gives many citations and examples tying in with his information. I learned many epic heroes must be born through noble birth, which was something I did not already know. The information he presents in my opinion will result in a passing grade he fixes some grammatical errors and relooks his paper for anything we might have missed. He may not have had the strongest conclusion, but his paper informs and teaches the reader something many of us don't already know.

Carson's Firm Ethics:
Many presidents in today's society want you to listen to what you want to hear. I believe running candidate Dr. Ben Carson holds his ethics on life firm. Like Machiavelli and Montaigne, Carson stands for what he believes is right. Carson stands for life, Being a surgeon he knew the importance of life and he is anti-abortion. He believes in protecting the religious home country of Israel, as well as our faith in the society. The best set of firm ethics are those who stand their ground. Machiavelli's introduction states, "Machiavelli tried to apply his experience of other states to strengthening his own" (1625). Like Machiavelli, Carson wants to use what he believes in and tie it in with our country's basis.

My Beautiful Life:
My life is one of a kind. I'm surrounded by great friends, a great family, and a sweet girlfriend. I love my job at Chick Fil A and how my grades are going. Life is a beautiful thing with nature and the spirit of mind. Life Is a beautiful thing no matter where you are. I feel so blessed with everything God has blessed me with. I've created a small poem in the format of Li Bo's "In the Quite Night".
"The sun rises, the birds chirp
Packing my bags for school and work
The day goes by with the time
Waiting for another beautiful day to begin"
"The sun rises, the birds chirp
Packing my bags for school and work
The day goes by with the time
Waiting for another beautiful day to begin"

The Beauty Of Lana Del Rey:
Elizabeth Grant also known as Lana del Rey has by far the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. I actually saw her in person, well more like in concert but I hope to meet her one day in person because from what I hear she is really sweet. Now when it comes to her music and the beauty of it entirely her music presents it's self in a way different then other artist. She has a very beautiful tone and let the emotions of how she feels out in her music. Like in the lyrics of Born to Die:
"Don't make me sad, don't make me cry
Sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough I don't know why
Keep making me laugh,
Lets go get high
The road is long, we carry on
Try to have fun in the meantime
Sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough I don't know why
Keep making me laugh,
Lets go get high
The road is long, we carry on
Try to have fun in the meantime
Come take a walk on the wild side
Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain
You like your girls insane,
So choose your last words, this is the last time
Cause you and I, we were born to die"
Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain
You like your girls insane,
So choose your last words, this is the last time
Cause you and I, we were born to die"
Her music represents a lot of beauty whether it be in love of her life she brings a story to every song.
