The Final Blog:
This semester was different from most and I have seen through all my colleagues blog post what they have taken away from this semester. Many took positive and negative things away from this course. Our fellow student Dante shared his opinion on how he felt about using google tools for all the assignments as he states," I've also enjoyed Google Docs. In my opinion, it is not as flexible as Microsoft Word. Docs has the tendency to freeze and crash due to it being directly connected to the internet, which has the tendency to be slow depending on your connection. The one interesting thing about Docs is the research tool. You can research the internet while still on Docs to add cites, that is something Word does not have. But of course, that's what causes the slow connection. The teacher really made this class interesting as well. I like his tendency to voice his opinion even though the class had mixed views."

What I've Learned:
In this class I've learned there is more to literature then just writing papers. I've seen through the various aspects of different poets and authors around the world, the views they have on religion and other various reasons. Through the Greeks such as Sappho, whom I researched. I saw multiple things I never knew about how big of a role she played in society, but realized they removed her from being a requirement in schools. This class goes to show education is essential in life and how important it means to us. World literature maybe just another academic requirement, but it definitely showed me that reading, blogging, commenting, and sharing information with peers, helps our mind relax.

What I Learned This Semester Part Two:
Another thing I learned this semester that taught me a lot was the importance of time management. I learned through reading assignments, blog post, comments, and projects. Using your time unwisely is costly. I took along time preparing and using my time when it came to creating my groups creation story and Wikipedia article, which in result presented me with fairly good grades. Now I did take time preparing Doc3 but ultimately it seems like it wasn't enough as well as grammatical errors cost me big time. So lesson learnt, no matter what you do school always comes first.

What I learned this semester Part one:
This semester was different then most, but through all the hard work and group projects I learned Professor Hamon made the class very interactive with each other. In past classes there would be times when I didn't even have a single conversation with numerous classmates. This class engaged everyone to get together and think. From the creation story, Wikipedia article, and Doc3. Everybody learned something new and together as a whole it felt like one big family till the end. I will definitely miss the fun times we all had together!

How Doc3 Took it's Toll:
For most students Doc3 definitely effected many of us for Dante it affected him through research as he states, "What's really slowed me down in this project is the subject I chose to research and write a paper about. Metamorphoses was a pain in the butt to do a project on. Since it has religious elements, I have to be careful on what I cite due to different results when I research". For others such as Mrs. Owings she struggled with her outside life as she says "The other thing that hindered my progress was life! I am a busy mom of three children. Between my schooling, my kids' after school activities, cooking dinner, cleaning house, doing laundry, and spending quality time with my family, I found that I would, on occasion, put writing my Doc 3 essay on the back burner". An for people such as Matthew having a job affected him in a way making it hard to work on outside of class, "My main disruption, when creating my document, is work. The job I work at occupies a lot of my time because I typically work doubles, not that I choose to but my manager chooses to schedule me as a double. So, by the time I get home, I'd choose not to stay up even more just to work on my assignment". Needless to say we all have our differences when it came to working on doc3.

Keeping Doc3 on Task:
Most students tend to do what we all know as procrastinating. I'm the complete opposite and always will be. I used the template and the rubric very closely. I've learned through psychology about the sensor in your brain for checking off a check list, which is mainly why I do my homework way before the due date, because it releases tons of stress. I enjoyed learning about my Wikipedia article strictly because, when I originally read about Sappho I was confused about what was going on in her literary work. One of my struggles was staying focused of course a 1,500 word paper takes time and I knew that there would be distractions along the way. So for future reference work in bits and pieces.

Peer Review:
Through the colleagues literary work this week I learned two things. Firstly, I learned Mrs. Cosner still hasn't worked on her Doc3 unless she has it on another document, and just has to transfer the information. But secondly in Mr. Dent's Doc 3 I learned about some of the traits and characteristics of being a epic hero. Through his paper he gives many citations and examples tying in with his information. I learned many epic heroes must be born through noble birth, which was something I did not already know. The information he presents in my opinion will result in a passing grade he fixes some grammatical errors and relooks his paper for anything we might have missed. He may not have had the strongest conclusion, but his paper informs and teaches the reader something many of us don't already know.

Carson's Firm Ethics:
Many presidents in today's society want you to listen to what you want to hear. I believe running candidate Dr. Ben Carson holds his ethics on life firm. Like Machiavelli and Montaigne, Carson stands for what he believes is right. Carson stands for life, Being a surgeon he knew the importance of life and he is anti-abortion. He believes in protecting the religious home country of Israel, as well as our faith in the society. The best set of firm ethics are those who stand their ground. Machiavelli's introduction states, "Machiavelli tried to apply his experience of other states to strengthening his own" (1625). Like Machiavelli, Carson wants to use what he believes in and tie it in with our country's basis.

My Beautiful Life:
My life is one of a kind. I'm surrounded by great friends, a great family, and a sweet girlfriend. I love my job at Chick Fil A and how my grades are going. Life is a beautiful thing with nature and the spirit of mind. Life Is a beautiful thing no matter where you are. I feel so blessed with everything God has blessed me with. I've created a small poem in the format of Li Bo's "In the Quite Night".
"The sun rises, the birds chirp
Packing my bags for school and work
The day goes by with the time
Waiting for another beautiful day to begin"

The Beauty Of Lana Del Rey:
Elizabeth Grant also known as Lana del Rey has by far the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. I actually saw her in person, well more like in concert but I hope to meet her one day in person because from what I hear she is really sweet. Now when it comes to her music and the beauty of it entirely her music presents it's self in a way different then other artist. She has a very beautiful tone and let the emotions of how she feels out in her music. Like in the lyrics of Born to Die:
"Don't make me sad, don't make me cry
Sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough I don't know why
Keep making me laugh,
Lets go get high
The road is long, we carry on
Try to have fun in the meantime
Sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough I don't know why
Keep making me laugh,
Lets go get high
The road is long, we carry on
Try to have fun in the meantime
Come take a walk on the wild side
Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain
You like your girls insane,
So choose your last words, this is the last time
Cause you and I, we were born to die"
Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain
You like your girls insane,
So choose your last words, this is the last time
Cause you and I, we were born to die"
Her music represents a lot of beauty whether it be in love of her life she brings a story to every song.

Dante's Concept of Hell:
In todays society we view Hell as a place that we are all destined to go to if we don't get right with God. This week in reading Dante's Inferno it takes us on a journey through Hell. In Dante's Version of Hell it's filled with dark souls of deceased people who didn't do anything good with their life. But before entering Dante entered through what the call they Gate of Hell. Now through reading this we learned about the nine circles of hell which essentially depends on how you condemned your sins after the first circle. Now although Dante showed no sign of fear, we all know Hell is not a place to take lightly and everyone should fear going there because it is not going to be fun for those who enter the gates of hell.

The Opinion On Doc3:
On my Doc3 I will be giving my personal opinion rather than just vague information and facts over my topic which is "Sappho". I will begin to argue my personal opinion on how I view her as a poet. I will argue why she is a predominant figure in Greek Poetry, and how readers view her poetry and the way she makes women a big role through her poetry and the way she presents them through music and dancing. I plan on working on this over this week and hopefully the first try will be good enough not to revise it as much as I have to on my Wikipedia article.

The Similarities Between The New Testament and Qur'an:
The New Testament and the Qur'an have both many different similarities. Considering they do share the same religious homeland and have connecting characters between the books make a great reasoning why they have many similar characteristics. We see on Page 860 of our text book the context clues that show according the Qur'an "Gabriel also know as Jibreel delivered the message to Muhammad. In the bible Gabriel is a angel in heaven who one day will blow his horn to call Christians back home to heaven. Another similarity is the New testament and Qur'ans version of "The Feast". The Qur'an states, "You are forbidden to eat carrion;blood;pig's meat; any animal over which any name other than God's has been invoked;" (861). Its the same in The New Testament and Bible when God grants Adam and Eve the permission to eat certain fruit and later on when he states practically the same thing. These two text favor one another But which do you actually believe is true?

The New Testament and it's Relevance:
In the New Testament it clearly in text applies to our life's today. The New Testament creates a sense of morality for Christians and is kind of the basis for how we live today. Many Christians don't live the Jewish strict lifestyle that is taught in the bible. As a firm believer in Christ I saw on page (823) where it states not to gather your riches "treasures" on earth. The exact quote states " Do not store up your treasures on earth, where the moth and rust destroy them, and where burglars dig through and steal them; but store up your treasures in heaven". For today as Christians we are suppose to pray and gather our riches here for our heavenly afterlife. This rule or moral still applies to our life today.

Opposite Roles in Daodejing:
With Daodejing being a collection of Laozi's work it would make sense for there to be various other writers that would make his work contrast. Through reading this I learned that "Dao" is the reality itself. Learning the ways things come together. Through further research on
(http://www.iep.utm.edu/laozi/#H2) I learned that correlatives aren't opposite, in fact they are mutually exclusive. So maybe in this case opposite roles don't play a factor in Daodejing.

The president:
In my own personal opinion to me the candidates in the campaign of the 2016 presidential election only one stands out politically correct and even close to the teaches of Confucius. Dr. Ben Carson to me is the only candidate I have even considered voting for. Firstly I'm not democrat, and secondly Donald trump is a joke as a presidential candidate. Yes I maybe bias, but we all have our own opinions. But enough of that Dr. Ben Carson is prolife and is in full support of Israel. He cares about education, and he even wants to protect the second amendment. Confucius is all about social roles, respect to elders and believes strongly the role of religion. Dr. Ben Carson and Confucius may have been great friends.

The United States in War:
Since I can pretty much remember the United States has constantly been in war. After the 9/11 attack we have constantly been sending troops over to the middle east to stop the terroristic attacks from escalating. The United states being in war in Syria has been going on since like 2011. Though they have been there for nearly 4 or almost 5 years nothing is getting resolved. War seems to be constant, it never stops and world peace pretty much seems impossible with the recent bombing from Russia and how they act towards us I can see a possible World War III in the future.

The Eternal Soul:
Many people in today's society are either one or two things. They are either very religious or antireligious. There is no in-between. Even though they maybe antireligious many of us believe in an afterlife. Though I may begin ranting I don't understand how those who don't believe in God believe when they die they are going to heaven but ill save my opinion. The eternal soul is realizing who you are as a earthly human being. You can chose to give your life and soul to God and be ultimately granted everlasting life in peace or just not care at all. With the eternal soul being the topic. Your soul is like your heart you chose your actions and do what it desires.

The Opposite Sex:
Waking up as the opposite sex would be terrifying. I believe though my initial thought would be to look in the mirror and check myself out. I wouldn't worry about what others think unless I had extreme facial hair, but I would first pray that I don't start my period because I have heard numerous accounts of how that is painful. Now my second thought would how can I change quick because I only like girls and I don't want to be framed as a lesbian. As well as I would hate to be pregnant and experience child birth. With being a girl though I think it would be extremely funny to fart and poop considering girls never do that. With being a guy I don't typically car much about fashion but I would have to learn the female ways and of course carry around a cute purse. Luckily this will never happen and I don't have to worry about losing my man hood.

Changes In my Life:
The biggest change in my life has been since high school graduation. Ever since I've graduated I have worked at Chick Fil a and working there has truly changed my outlook on life. Not only do I eat the food more than once a day but earning money there has inquired me to feel more independent. I have also started doing their inventory which means I order what comes into our store. From raw chicken to the freshly squeezed lemons I order it all. Before working at Chick Fil a I never would imagine I would be where I am today. Maybe one day I will own my own store.

Tragedy Is around us:
Though I've had my own tragedies. I've seen many others around me share their tragedies. My Grandma and Grandpa have probably been through the most out of my entire family. Though my Aunt has been struck with lighting and my Dad lived in poverty in Mexico hardly eating a meal everyday till the age of 17. My Grandma and Grandpa have had to bury two of their own children one who died of an asthma attack at the age of 10 and the other who murdered himself after going through a divorce at the age of 40. My Grandparents still are affected by these tragedies to this day and mourn at the thought of it. Keep in mine its been 20 years. Tragedy leaves a permeant scar on the heart, one that humans will never be able to understand.

My own tragedy:
My senior year in high school was going great. Everything tended to be running smoothly especially with my soccer teams. On February 18th, 2014 that's when it all went down hill. I was making a defensive play like every other time. When going in for the tackle I hurt a crunching sound, along with what felt like three rubber bands snapping. I hit the ground and looked at my left ankle which was completely turned side ways at a 90 degree angle. I would spend the next few months handicap both wheel chair and crutches with physical therapy and to surgeries. This would be the end of what appeared to be a good soccer season for me. I know tragic...

A Stellar Arguement:
I've noticed throughout the other blog post many of us have different aspects on what a hero maybe. Some of stories that have in a way shown a heroic action and others just opinions based on beliefs. As a Christian I believe throughout the bible you see many heroic actions made by Jesus Christ. The definition of a hero varies. Typical day heroes being fireman, police force, doctors/nurses, and war veterans are the common day hero to the world. Though they don't contain the qualities of a hero such as Achilles they still are looked up to by society because what they do either saves life's or protects us from terroristic threats. If you are reading this tell me if you believe we should honor those who serve us as heroes or if we should only call fictional literary characters heroes.

The Perfect Hero?
Throughout literature writers have shaped what the present day reader sees as a hero. Through the Greek mythology they play Gods like Achilles to be the most perfect hero known to man. But what defines the "perfect hero". To me a perfect hero has to be the common characteristics we see today such as strength, bravery, and courage, which all fall together. But what makes them stand out from the rest? I believe a perfect hero must be a warrior of some sort. Maybe fight something other heroes or humans can't. The perfect hero should be a legend one that generations of stories evolve around. Is there truly a perfect hero that can be pointed out in todays generation?

The revising of another Groups Project:
Looking at another groups project can definitely bring some insight on your own. Looking at the other groups they are missing some of the elements that are related to creation stories. Now at the same time it has a positive impact because it can help you realize your own mistakes. The other group that revised our creation story helped provide positive feedback that I will definitely take into consideration and provide for a more better and efficient presentation.

My Hero:
In the present day world many of us have heroes. For most it's are mother and father and for some it can be a public figure. This week we read The Epic of Gilgamesh and Genesis. In both these there are similarities of heroic actions. Of course my Mom and Dad are my role models because they taught me the morals I live by today. God is also a hero in my life because he has saved me from sin. But to put my hero in a comical sense. My true hero growing up as a kid and still to this day it is Spider-man. Spider-man has both a sense of humor, with the ability to get serious when needed. He has always been my hero because of the way he is portrayed in the movies. Many see him as a menace even though he swings into action when needed. He is brave, courageous, and has incredible strength. Even though I may not have superpowers I tend to strive to save others life's in the hospital during my life long career as a nurse.

Possible Eroticism In Our Creation Story:
This week in class the main topic was eroticism. Many People over look the true meaning behind it and just frame it as having sex. In class on Wednesday with the other groups sharing their understanding on the subject. It opened up some possible ideas to finish the creation story. Even in the biblical days Lust and sexual desires were very evident and could ultimately having you stand before the father of the heavens. I believe a perfect way to maybe incorporate eroticism in our paper is by bringing kind of the Adam and Eve scenario. I'm not sure how it will play out but it's in the works. I think a good way to add more humor to what already should be a satirical story is a little eroticism. But we shall all see till next time.

Group One Project The Beginning:By Hope Dawley, Will Paris, and Samuel Gutierrez
As a group we have created a creation story that will make the class laugh probably more than most. To give a brief summary of what we have came up with so far is the introduction. We know for a fact the Dr. Keith Hamon is are main center of the story. In a way he is our version of a God. We have in a sense started what can become the next great BIG thing. One of the most satirical elements of our story is the made up names we have established for ourselves in the story. We plan on using elements found in most creation stories and will probably finish our first document within the next week. I plan on creating a very creative presentation that will engage the class and not lose anybody's focus. In the next blog I wish to inform yall with more information on the process of our group.

My Groups Creation Story:
As a group project I'm working on a new creation story with Will Paris, Hope Dawley, and Myself. So far we have the plot and the story is coming along. It's not your average creation story but it will obtain a little satire and tons of material that most creation stories usually have in them. Creation stories are the foundation for life. As a class I can't wait to hear what others have come up with. The biggest key in this project is to give the audience something they can believe or something they can laugh about and hopefully make their day. I think I'll go with more of a satirical aspect of literature.
Genesis: The creation Story for all Christians
Growing Up In a Christian family and going to church pretty much my whole life the story of how we evolved on earth has always come from the Bible in my opinion. In the Book of Genesis we learn the process in how God created the world. In the course of what we see now as one week God created everything that exist. Day one was the beginning with light. Day two was the separation of waters. Day three was the land. Day four was the Sky, stars, moon and etc... Day five was the birds and sea creatures. Day six was land animals then man and woman. And of course like every Sunday to this day its known as the great Sabbath the day of rest. The creation Story that will always remain true to my heart is the story of God creating the world. I'm very curious to know if anyone else may believe in another creation story.

My travel's
Now being a college student with a minimum wage job won't necessarily get you to where you may want to go, but it's pretty close. In my nineteen years of living I have never left the southeast which will change this spring break. I've been to Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee. My favorite place to go while traveling is Orlando, Florida I plan to hopefully live there one day and work at a local hospital. My future travels both short and long term goals are New York city this spring break, Seattle Washington or California the next year. And eventually México and Europe. Not interesting like most of the military students in the Warner Robins area, but I will get there.
